this is a good size kitchen chef knife. it is a couple of inches longer than my iphone as seen in the attached photo. it felt good in my slicing hand as i pinch its bolster and started slicing some vegetables. this knife is sharp as it came in and passed the "slicing of the paper” test - cleanly slices a piece of paper while holding that paper with my other hand.however, when i used it to slice a slab of mozzarella cheese; the ‘ink’ on the dragon design on top section of the knife appears to have transferred to the cheese! (see photo). i am really skeptical that whatever substance the manufacturer used to print the dragon design on this knife is not a food grade substance.And yes, i handwashed this knife two times before using it.i will have to wash it a dozen times while scrubbing the design section, to make sure i remove whatever substance there is on the knife. not cool.
