For all golf cart enthusiasts. I don't normally write reviews, but when it is necessary to avoid an accident or damage, I do the right thing and write a review. I have a 2017 Yamaha G29/Drive Electric Golf Cart. I installed this solenoid in hopes of better performance. Pretty easy to install. After installation I did a test drive. The solenoid had a loud click when I stepped on the gas to turn it on, which my old one didn't do. J chases off my cart so that was a minus. I walked down the street to the neighbor's house which is 600 feet one way. I know for sure, because I built a fence running parallel to the test drive, the trolley didn't do any better. I turned to my neighbors and walked back another 600 feet, 1200 total. I stopped in front of my shop, went to feel the solenoid and it read over 300 F. I couldn't even touch it. I left my car for a while and used pliers to hold the solenoid while I unplugged it to remove it from the car. I'd be scared to death driving this thing on a golf cart a lot and parking the cart in your shed, say at a store. Might as well burn it up. I really wanted this to work, but it didn't work.
