It was not possible to know if these rollers were pre-lubed at the factory. Using the email address on the U.S. seller's web site connected me to Thailand - who were not very helpful. A phone call to the seller here said they were not lubed and I could just use any proper garage door lube. The problem is there is little to no access to the ball bearings, so the lube would have to be very thin to get inside. As well the only oil access is on the track side of the roller, which is blocked by the track, unless you can position a punch hole in the track to line up with the roller bearing access. I attempted to squeeze silicone lube into the bearings but was not very successful. Finally I just used silicone spray.As far as nose reduction, well, not a lot. Which was the point of buying. Knowing what I know now I would not purchase these. I have kept the old steel rollers and will reinstall when these new rollers wear out.
