These straps are dangerous and in my opinion defective. The first time I used these straps was to tie down a boat during a 4 hour tow. On first use 2 of 2 straps failed as at some point during the trip the nut on the bolt holding the side ratchet strap loosened (fell off) leaving my boat's transom slack while towing. And that made it even harder for me to get the boat home with the already useless straps in the back of my truck. Do yourself a favor and buy something more reliable. If you have any, check the hardware and replace the nuts with lock nuts. Nuts. They are useless and I would recommend something else.
