Review on Andersen® Reachout Receiver Panel Present by Scott Clark

We had a sliding door that was installed in 2005 and used an old latch with a pin on the strike plate and a metal button on the latch. This design was discontinued after about a year. Recently a pin on a striker plate broke and that plate was no longer available. This product replaces the old one so well I didn't have to replace the strike plate, just the latch. All I had to do was remove the two screws holding the lever in place. Once the lever was removed, the latch could be pulled out and replaced. It took me 10 minutes just because I'm slow and careful. The best part is that I didn't have to install a new strike plate. The old one worked perfectly.
