Retrofit Old Lock

This item is perfect for the Anderson sliding patio door. Since the old style is no longer in production, this was my only option. The instructions say you need to enlarge the groove in the frame to fit the lock plate, but in my case I didn't have to as the lock plate was still in place. Your results may vary. Closes nice and smooth. Very happy with the product and installation was a breeze.

Replaces the old model

We had a sliding door that was installed in 2005 and used an old latch with a pin on the strike plate and a metal button on the latch. This design was discontinued after about a year. Recently a pin on a striker plate broke and that plate was no longer available. This product replaces the old one so well I didn't have to replace the strike plate, just the latch. All I had to do was remove the two screws holding the lever in place. Once the lever was removed, the latch could be pulled out and…

A portion of $45 for fixing 0.25 cents. There's a better way

This is an exact replacement for the part that broke on my door but if you had the same problem you can buy the part for 25 cents to replace your existing door latch to repair. (not sure what it's called) which is adjusted by the screw appears to be loose and won't tighten (your door is loose) then take out the existing one and look at the back of the adjusting screw. At the very back there should be a C-clip (or some type of lock ring, lock ring, or locking ring) that will hold the bolt in…

This worked great as a replacement for the lock and receiver on my patio doors. It was built in 1998 so it was the right kit to buy as the instructions say it is for doors made before 2005. While the instructions state that a 1/4" hole may need to be drilled in the door jamb, the pipe fit, which my door did not. It was very easy to fix. I swapped too. Andersen Tribeca® Style - Thumb Latch for Sliding Doors - Stone. It was easy too. However, the thumb lock doesn't feel as solid as the rest of…

Also works great on doors up to 2006.

My door is working again My house was built approx. 2004 This differs slightly from original equipment as the knob is on the lock and not the receiver. But it has been stated in the literature associated with the product. It fits and works well. An installation note: the two screws located on the receiver's ears don't really do anything other than hold the receiver in place (so that the target lines up with the white tab of the lock) while you're using the 3 -Inch set screw screw into the…

Check before you drill

I have a mid 1990's Anderson PS200 slider that I installed myself. The lock was worn out so I decided to replace it after getting the correct part number from Andersen. The parts came quickly and correctly from the Revain supplier. The latch on the door matched the swingarm I ordered perfectly. However, the problem on the side of the post was that in order to align the latch's "knob" with the "target" on the post, I had to file the adjustment slots about 1/8" longer to allow the two halves of…
