Surprised by how well thought out this light is. We carried two lights in the truck for TT camping. One was a six D cell lantern, torch, flasher. and siren. The other a cheap Energiser, single cell, torch. They both failed and needed to be replaced. This does everything but the siren. Since it is rechargeable we'll save on batteries and the truck has a USB port in the back so it will be easy to keep charged. It also weighs a fraction of either of the old lights and appears solid, with a tripod for aiming and a strap to carry. The torch is much brighter than either older torch and much better focused. We're not backpackers but it sure is light enough to carry in a pack. One other feature we didn't know about is that the torch and lantern buttons have a lower light setting to conserve battery power. Just hold the button down to dim. It also appears durable but the little battery flap may be a weak point long term. I'm smiling'. :)
