Works as advertised

I had to order a set of replacement needles because the first needles I ordered were extremely inaccurate. Oddly, I tested the sensors in ice and hot water before first use. Checked OK. I like that the sensors are color coded at each end. I didn't have originals so it was always trial and error. I smoked pork ribs and expected a temperature of 225-250 degrees. After a few hours I realized the ribs were undercooked. The temperature of the dome in my hole showed 160 - very low. The meter read 250. I stuck a second gauge down the hole and made sure I was barely warm at 150. I increased the temperature based on the hood and second gauge readings. The first probe passed over 400 degrees. It was completely wrong against the hood and the second probe. I sent this sensor in for replacement. I've used replacements once and they've worked flawlessly so far. I have a ThemoPro TP20 so at first I thought these sensors weren't compatible even though the TP20 was on the list. I rely heavily on meat probes when smoking and grilling in my Kamado oven. I hope they are reliable and durable. I fried my original TP20 probes by allowing this plate to heat up too quickly during retraction. If this set doesn't fit, I just order a replacement from ThermoPro. As for the ThermoPro, I've had it for a couple of years now and it works as expected with no hiccups. Perfect for garden grills.
