My late brother left an RPi 3 with a touchscreen installed on it. His daughters are interested in using it so I bought it. I had to disassemble the Pi and use standoffs and some tiny nuts to tether the Pi to the interface board but not screw to the touchscreen. So the Pi and the interface board lined up with the holes in the case. It's tucked away so they don't need to be mounted elsewhere. Since in this case there is a base to place all the ports on, it also causes the screen to tip over. No problem. Well, a little. I had to adjust the displayport to invert both the image and the touch of XY. You'll have to google this info because I forgot exactly, but there are a number of configuration commands that work, but only one works well.
