Ford said the heater hose was discontinued and referred me to a well known auto parts store. This repair material was great for replacing a cracked quick coupler on the back of a 3.8 engine on a 2001 Windstar van. The downside was that this replacement part did not fit the factory bracket and had to be removed with a hair dryer to soften the old nylon. I also polished the metal tube with penetrating oil and Scotchbrite to remove rust and debris and prevent leakage or damage to the o-ring. I used a razor blade and cut the hose at the crimp (see picture), the hose and tube are 3/4. Repairing the broken plastic part was easy.
