It's not perfect, it doesn't quite match. I'm not sure if it's because I don't have enough original equipment for my Jeep and I improvised, or if one of the walls (on the passenger side) is slightly curved (that's how it was out of the box). So when I close the lid, all I have to do is hold a string on one side to hold the lid in place. Otherwise I like it. I'd love it if it had a hydraulic or gas lift to hold the lid up, but I'm not sure how that would work since it closes (I'll investigate that later and update you all , if it's me) . find out). Like any security system, it's not perfect and won't last forever, but now I feel better when I can see the grocery store parking lot. I definitely recommend it. I've looked at other safes (that's basically what it is) and for the price of this one I don't think you can go wrong. My biggest concern has always been if I rolled up the jeep with all my tools and gear, plus the box itself would fall on my head. However, it's attached directly to the body and is light enough that it won't be flung away when rolling (which doesn't mean it won't break out if you have a lot of heavy items in the box). So yes, I recommend it.
