I just tried this lock. Having gathered all this, I turned the key. The key was stuck so I turned it to see where the friction points were. I turned the key a couple of times and then the key started turning without the firing pin moving. I looked into the locking mechanism and saw that the spring was oddly coiled. I suspect this is the problem. The 1/2 inch on the piece of metal that attaches behind the handle is slightly misaligned causing it to bind. I followed the PopnLock Youtube video for this model and it doesn't work as smoothly as the video. Installation was easy, but the lock's function and design are poor. I hope my new lock fits better.
