Review on ☕ Delonghi EC860: Stylish Stainless Steel Espresso Maker for the Perfect Brew by Billy Reeves

How did I live without him?!

After reading the reviews I highly doubt I bought this item. A customer made me a latte one night and I noticed that it was way better than what I could get from my 10 year old Starbucks machine. I liked making espresso or latte, but I usually used it about once a month because it was such a hassle. I went home that night and decided to have another one and my Starbucks machine was completely dead. I asked my client which one she had and decided to buy one. There were so many mediocre and bad reviews that I almost ordered. My client wore it for two years, used it several times a day and loved it. I went ahead and ordered knowing that if there was a problem I could always return it. It may be too early to rate, but after more than two months I use the machine 4 or 5 times a day. I agree that "fresh milk" is a little different than the foaming agent here, but I have no complaints about it. And because it's so easy to use, I found it almost replaced my regular coffee maker. To reiterate some others, the coffee is not as hot as I would like it to be (and when buying a drink from a cafe). . Simply place in the microwave for 15 seconds before drinking. It took me some trial and error to find the best coffee grinder. After buying the beans and using the espresso grind, I got almost no coffee - the grind was too fine. I thought the next coarser grind ("fine") wasn't fine enough. Now I grind 2/3 beans as "fine” and 1/2 as "espresso” and puree them together. Seems to give me the best brewing results. Based on my experience, I can recommend it unreservedly.
