These cables don't have "memory" which means they're good for things like magic loops. They don't bother you, they behave normally. The joints are smooth, the tips are sharp, use the included pen and a piece of rubber (a glove or whatever material you put under the rug) to tighten the needle firmly. My favorite kind of circular knitting needles.
