The adapter does not fit snugly into the rectagular slot, therefore care must be taken to ensure it's positioned correctly prior to lifting the vehicle with a jack. Not sure if the rectangular slot is intended (or tall enough) to contact the chassis to lift the car at that contact point or if the rounded portion of the adapter is supposed to contact the lip of the plastic slot and lift at that contact point. If the latter, then the use of this adapter is redundant as the jack pad does the same thing. It would be nice if this adapter was magnetic so that it does not easily slide off of the jack pad while trying to position the jack underneath the vehicle.
