Review on PQY Billet Aluminum Surge Anodized by Michael Hudson

Love the size, the finish and how well it all came together when installed on my bike's fuel tank. so happy i ordered a second one for another project. BUT a week later the plastic disc holding the lid swelled in the presence of fuel vapor until it came out. After making a heavy wire arm to pull hard on the stop lever and using a large pry bar and wood paneling on the tank, it popped out with a panting effort and flew over my head. there were no problems with the flange/neck either. Yes, I rotated the lever 45 degrees. Yes, the lid worked fine once installed. No, nobody messed around with the bike anymore. There appears to be an issue with the tolerance of plastic materials used in the presence of gasoline fumes. If the cap and neck are already there it would be difficult to return them so I will carefully file the parts until they work safely. I didn't expect this project to be done by hand.
