There is no way to keep the colors from blurring, there will be at least a little and if that doesn't bother you then do it but personally I can can't stand the little spots of purple and orange. I read someone said that red becomes pink and that's not true, it's red, you just have to give it time to really sit down on your clothes and follow the basic guidelines for dying a tie. My plan was for my kids to wear them on the 4th. I carefully made them myself and I still have little spots of purple and the occasional orange that don't know how it happened but I can't look at it so I scrape it off. Maybe just do red or blue instead of both, but that's not much fun, so xs
