Extremely Large Trimming Opportunities! I like the R8's one-piece spindle design. Other designs include 2 or 3 piece assemblies, but when it comes to fairings, 1 piece is stiffer and less reliable. I've pushed 2-3/4 wide 6061-T6 and 2024-T3511 aluminum in one pass with this 3-inch tool. Feed and speed were 2500 rpm and 45 ipm with a small amount of coolant sprayed onto the surface. super smooth. Factory fitted carbides seem to be very good so far. It comes in a large plastic case for physical protection and I use this case for storage in my tool box. Worth every penny. Works well!
