Bought this new for $500 in 2004. The set included a 50 CD player and a pair of vintage Bose speakers (2.2, 1989). The CD player worked and sounded good, the Bose speakers were ok but for the price what can you expect? Now comes this garbage. That sounds TERRIBLE. Weak AM/FM, thin, tinny, weak and distorted sound. Surround sound didn't work properly either. Not to mention that channels A and B had audio imbalance. While this can be corrected by adjusting the settings, you end up with an uncomfortable reverberation. It still works there. That's the best I can say. Also had an Onkyo (slightly more expensive), day and night difference. I'll throw it in the trash soon. DO NOT BUY!
