Goes through almost anything it encounters. Its self-sharpening design is efficient. It worked where the auger failed. Definitely worth the price. I used a little blue threadlock on the screw to keep it in place because you don't want to lose it in the pipe. I read on one of the forums that you can put it in the lock and get stuck if you're not careful. I haven't had this problem but just to make sure I drill a few inches and then pull it out before going back in. It's probably better than doing everything at once. Using a pilot hole through the clog with a smaller diameter head also likely reduces the chances of a larger head getting stuck.
