This is my fifth NAS box. I have Netgear Readnas 104, 2 4TB wdmyclouds and 16TB WDMycloud ultra. This box was purchased with two 12TB Segate Enterprise hard drives. I later added 2 more and that's why it only gets 4 stars. I added 2 more drives after putting about 6TB of movies on them and it took 3 days to transfer the data to the 3rd/4th. distribute drive. Sometimes it won't let me connect to my network and it takes a minute or two to wake up. I accidentally disconnected it from the network once and it took 8 hours to "restore". Even though he didn't do anything during the shutdown. I added an M2 card (500GB) and it helps with performance but it's nothing to confuse you. So in the end I'm happy with that. It's an improvement over my Netgear box, but it comes at a price. It has a lot of apps, and even some of them are useful. I haven't connected it directly to my TV via an HDMI 2.0 port yet, but it will. I'm happy with the box apart from the time it takes to propagate the data. I can only imagine how long it will be if I ever lose the drive (by running Raid 5). I wanted to use RAID 6, but I didn't want to eat 2 of my 4 drives for "security reasons". Can I recommend this box? Yes. Is that a speed demon? As far as I understand, no. But it's faster than my Netgear, but I can't say the same for my WDMycloud ultrabox. They seem about the same.
