Revainrating 5 out of 5

Celebration. Hubs on Hubs

UPDATE: I'm now convinced that the problems I described were caused by the USB DAC itself. I switched from the obviously old ODAC to Topping D10 and no longer had the problem described. Change the rating to 5 and leave the original post verbatim below ------------------------ -------- In my experience, StarTech makes the difference reliable stuff. This hub has limitations, but it's most likely either the USB 2.0 protocol or Windows. I'm not sure which, but either way it wasn't worth investigating. I first connected a USB DAC to the back of the 7 port model. The hub would sometimes stop working when a new audio device was connected (like my webcam's microphone or the speaker/microphone combo on the DualSense controller). Like I said, I don't know for sure, I just know it's exploding in my extremely niche experimental use. I thought they were all low enough not to cause problems, but obviously something is messed up somewhere. It's reliable since I decided to connect my DAC directly to my motherboard like I used to. Time and various game controllers have been connected both via cable and Bluetooth. I've also used it to transfer data from phone to Kindle, as well as charge Kindle and wireless controllers. The Hub charges your Kindle just as quickly as a wall charger. My webcam is also connected through it, but it turns off when not in use.

Cons
