Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Enhanced Work Support Stand: Rockwell RK9034 JawStand XP by George Miller

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very useful functions, but not perfect

Advantages: More robust than an average work stand. Pleasant features such as integrated height control, height adjustment knob and clamping and tilting head. What I like best is the handle for fine height adjustment. Trying to set the material supports to the correct height is tedious (like casters/supports on a miter saw stand). Adjusting the height for grandstands usually means guessing the height, checking it, and then readjusting it until it's close enough. With this tripod you can zoom in with the basic height adjustment and then turn the crank for the final fine adjustment. Cons: The clip and "attach" knob for the tilt head doesn't hold up very well. But they will probably work for most applications. The height markings on the side of the stand appear to be off by an inch. One would think that with the fine height adjustment set to zero, the heights marked on the side would match the top of the stand, but they appear to give readings per inch. I don't rule out the possibility that I misinterpreted or measured something, but I haven't figured out what went wrong yet. wood on my table saw, miter saw and so on. They have special 3-in-1 stands for this, but most of them seem to have bad reviews. So I decided to get a Rockwell RK9034 JawStand XP and combine it with a piece of 2x4 junk and some roller bearings. The 3-in-1 racks cost a little more to buy, but the end result is a much stronger and more versatile tooling system. You can find the roller bearings I use here: Set of 6 TruePower 1" Roller Ball Bearings
