Beautiful baking stand

Essential stand for DIY enthusiasts. I've found multiple uses for this thing. If you work alone like me and can use an extra hand sometimes, then go. Worth every penny and the legs fold up to give plenty of storage space.

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • Requires base

Not as useful as you think.

Note. I bought it for $75 over a year ago. It seems much more expensive now ($120 at the time of writing this article). The stand has many adjustments and a very solid construction. I like the stepless height adjustment. But once you start using it, you'll find that it can do a lot of things, but none of them well. It's too short for most things I have to do and I have to clamp things in my jaw. to get it high enough to use with my saws - jaws are crooked but not slippery enough to replace reel

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Functionality

READ THIS COMMENT FOR PROPER SETUP

I have purchased 6 of these units to date to help feed, infeed and side extend a DeWalt hand saw purchased from Amazon. The main benefit of this wooden stand over the cheaper version of the same stand is the precise positioning of the bolted center column. This works great for getting accurate pitch positioning PROVIDED you understand that the instructions do NOT specify pitch. When delivered (good), the upper fine adjuster is positioned against the upper clamping head. Once you have installed…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Not the best

AWESOME worth $65!

So here's the truth. I would buy this item again 10 times out of 10. It's absolutely fantastic. Yes, it's just a tooth holding your work, not a clamp. BUT that's enough. This thing acts like a second pair of hands. I hung a 100 pound door on this thing myself. I was amazed and so happy that I had it. The micro adjustment knob was from heaven to get this door exactly where I needed it and then to be able to screw the door tight. I built a shelf that can be repaired and now I have a small…

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Check out these mounts!

Great concept but needs revision. All of the attachment points are weak, like the yellow manual tensioners and lever clamp, so I'm deducting a star for that. The really important thing I found is the vertical Micro Adjust lever. It's very flimsy, and upon delivery, none of the coasters I examined could spin freely until forced to do so the first time. Be careful, you can ruin the flimsy metal handle where it connects. The only direction of movement when new is the "up" direction. Once it runs…

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Available in white only

Helped solve field table sawing headaches.

I work in the field with my portable table saw (GTS1031) and like most portable machines, the bed is too small to comfortably cut long boards or bulky items like plywood or drywall. I built side and rear outriggers to use in the field using two of these JawStands, six foot 2x4 stands and 1" roller bearings (thanks to Revain Poster Endres for the idea). The six bottom supports allow me to separate the 4x8 pieces. bisected either vertically or horizontally with no support issues. The JawStands…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • So far so good

Very useful functions, but not perfect

Advantages: More robust than an average work stand. Pleasant features such as integrated height control, height adjustment knob and clamping and tilting head. What I like best is the handle for fine height adjustment. Trying to set the material supports to the correct height is tedious (like casters/supports on a miter saw stand). Adjusting the height for grandstands usually means guessing the height, checking it, and then readjusting it until it's close enough. With this tripod you can zoom in

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • low-maintenance

Everything is OK! fits stands and chassis

It takes two bodies to handle a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood or long material, but of course I live alone most of the time, there is no one in my second house. In my main house I have the same table saw and an older adjustable stand that looks handmade. Height-adjustable and ball-bearing roller for loading and unloading parts. It works amazing. It's not pretty, but it adjusts easily to any height, and the roller on top makes it easy for the stuff to slide. I bought this Rockwell stand hoping to get…
