I had a larger version of this saw and fell in love with it. I took 2 smaller saws. One for mom and one for son. This saw is suitable for children, adults, grandparents. I like the fact that it opens and closes. Many common folding saws do not lock when closed. A recipe for disaster if you ask me. I don't like the idea that something sharp can pop open on its own. This saw is suitable for household chores and also for those of us who enjoy camping and hiking. This saw cuts on the pull stroke so it doesn't get stuck in the wood like some other saws that cut on the pull and push strokes. . Now don't think that this means it will cut slower or take more effort and time. This saw actually cuts faster than more popular brands of folding saws. It's slightly larger than the Bahco Laplander and the weight is the same. Both are excellent saws. Have and use both. But I think for people new to saws or having trouble with push/pull saws this is the tool for them. I highly recommend this saw. My family is 3 different sizes.
