Installed these brackets today. The process was very simple; Find the right positions and screw the plastic part with a few screws. Note that the tab on the plastic part is under the straight part of the D-ring. Its purpose is to put some pressure on the D-ring to keep it from dangling when nothing is attached to it. Once the plastic part is in place, insert a D-ring and mark the location of the hole in the metal part. Drill a 3/8" hole in the trailer deck, insert a 3/8" bolt and secure with a flat washer, lockwasher and nut from below. stick out too much. It's nice to have additional attachment points in addition to the corner attachments provided by the trailer manufacturer.
