Description of 📦 DC Cargo Mall Flush Mount D-Rings with Pan Fittings – Secure Trailer Load with 4 D-Ring Tie-Downs; Maximum Load Capacity 533 lbs

✔ FLUSH MOUNT D-RINGS: 4 Pack | This bolt-on D-ring lies flush in its rugged plastic pan fitting so the D-ring doesn’t hazardously protrude from the floor. Galvanized steel means its zinc coated for corrosion and rust resistance and well-built to last. Working Load Limit: 533 pounds. NOTE: Mounting hardware is NOT included. ✔ ANCHOR ACTION: So you’ve got a (utility, enclosed, cargo, travel, snowmobile) trailer, pickup, truck, flatbed or cargo van. And you’d like to tie down your (motorcycle, bike, snowmobile, ATV, go-cart, landscaping equipment, farm tools, appliances, camping gear, delivery boxes, lumber) load. Maybe you’ve got a bike bench or pool deck in need of anchor spots. These flush D-ring tie-downs are designed for everyday use and provide you with a lifetime of dependable strength and versatility. ✔ DIMENSIONS: The 2 1/4" x 2" D-ring has an attached welded bolting clip with a 3/8" diameter hole. Easily attach S-hook or J-hook straps, bungee cords, motorcycle tie-downs, ropes, chains and soft loops through the ring’s 1-1/2 by 1-13/16” inner clearance. The 4” pan-fitting anchors the 1/4" diameter D-ring in place for a secure hold. See the images for a detailed sketch with all the dimensions of these tie-downs. ✔ EASY INSTALLATION: First install the plastic base with 2 screws into the 1/4” mounting holes. Then screw the D-ring into it, securing the base mount pan fitting underneath for a tight bond. These anchors mount well to plywood and metal on the floor or walls of your trailer, flatbed, or truck.

Not quite what I expected.

Not quite what I expected. The ring only has one hole for attachment and does not fit well in the plastic frame. The company responded to my review and requested more details. I think they will work for a more casual situation - I was planning on using them where the only mounting surface is my van's plastic interior panels. You have issued a refund. For this reason I changed my star rating to 3.

Recommend. Suitable for truck body and tailgate accessories

Sold and strong. I strategically placed 4 of these on the floor of my pickup truck bed and centered one on the tailgate to accommodate various mounting situations where D-rings on the side panels would not suffice. And the biggest plus: They do not stick to objects being pulled into/out of the truck. I used 1/4" stainless steel hooks, drilled a 1/2" hole and they are rock solid. They hold my ratchet straps with ease. Worked for me, don't understand why they don't work for you.

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Reliable installation and beautiful appearance!

We bought these mounts on purpose as rear mounts were not available from the manufacturer. Our toolbox has rendered them useless. In this application, additional parts were purchased locally to secure the sleepers. The end result is exactly what we wanted, to secure anything and everything while you explore on the go. They feel durable and fairly secure. We haven't been out to test them on the road yet, but we're sure they'll do the job.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Weight

The metal parts are very good, it is convenient to secure fairly heavy loads with them. The weak point is a fragile plastic cup. The design is very nice, but I already cracked the cup. I don't see any plastic sticking to the floor of a truck bed at all. To install them on my Tundra I had to enlarge the hole with a step drill, but then they fall right onto the existing platform. Bolt. Easy job if you have the tools.

Pros
  • Excellent price
Cons
  • Negative impression

Here are some installation tips

You can put a 3/8" point in the hole, but I went with a 5/16" carriage bolt to keep the "bolt head" more even. There is also a protrusion on the plastic edge. This is done to keep the loop taut so it doesn't dangle. Once you tighten the screw it will go flat. A photo says more than 1000 words, so here are a few photos. They really need to have some instructions (specifically what the tab is for and how to use it) otherwise it's a good inexpensive surround sound connection.

Don't even think about it if you're not backing up empty crates.

Don't waste your time with this crap. If I called it crap, that wouldn't be an accurate description. I needed floor loading mounts for a couple of ATVs I was transporting. Hinges D have 1 hole that inserts into a plastic circle with 2 mounting holes. The plastic circle has nothing to do with the mount other than that the D-loop is a slightly recessed surface mount mount. The problem is that during transport or if the D-loop turns or twists, which can happen because there is only one hole for…

Easy to install and secure

Installed these brackets today. The process was very simple; Find the right positions and screw the plastic part with a few screws. Note that the tab on the plastic part is under the straight part of the D-ring. Its purpose is to put some pressure on the D-ring to keep it from dangling when nothing is attached to it. Once the plastic part is in place, insert a D-ring and mark the location of the hole in the metal part. Drill a 3/8" hole in the trailer deck, insert a 3/8" bolt and secure with a…
