Works well for most applications

This item works well for most USB applications, at least with a full sized computer. The only caveat is that some peripherals don't work well through a hub. For example, my Wacom tablet needed to be plugged into one of the built-in USB ports on the back of the computer. When using the hub, the computer couldn't see the tablet until I toggled the switch on the hub off and then back on. A minor inconvenience, but an inconvenience nonetheless. The printer, scanner, standard mouse and camera charger work fine.
