Review on Comfort Shell Deck Tube - 🚤 2 Person, 3 Person, or 4 Person by Michael Tegan

I bought this whistle quickly because I had a nephew and a couple of his friends who were coming to the lake for the weekend hoping to buy a whistle. Our other tube had a leak and I didn't want options available, so I didn't have to do a lot of research when purchasing - two-day shipping, cost and a few features were the main drivers in my decision-making process. Pros - padded top was lighter on knees and elbows than nylon top tubes - multiple handles for a variety of grip options - I shifted the weight of 3 college guys (maybe 450-500lbs) around a wake boat and took the tube on all the hits I could inflict on her. Cons - while the soft upper was good for minimizing abrasion, it also lacked traction meaning we found ourselves kicking the boys off the top a lot which wasn't nearly as common with a nylon top - we had 3 boys (I think runners, not soccer players), and "fit" is subjective. Their space was relatively cramped compared to some tubes - the thickness of the tube (or lack thereof) also plays a role. I was able to send her to a monstrous wake, and the "air time" was relatively short. With that much weight, I should have a lot of compression and subsequent rebound. My old tube was a lot thicker and at the same weight we regularly got 4-6 feet of air. This hose is much softer in comparison. I think this is still a decent pipe, especially for the money. It definitely has its purpose and place. I'd probably prefer to pull out two of them to account for "pipe wars" since big air doesn't seem to happen. The smoother upper may also have played a (slight) role in this, as a stiff sling can cause someone to slip off before they have a chance of big air - although an old pipe will leave most of the big air behind. The boat crosses a "double" wakeline, not a sling along the wakeline. I think it's a good whistle except in extreme whistle situations.
