Review on Haloview Backup Camera Adapter Bracket Compatible with Furrion Pre-Wired RVs by Ricardo Knight

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It works - it fits right into RVs that are pre-wired for Furrion backup cameras

I have a Coachmen Freedom Express UltraLite RV and it came pre-wired for Furrion backup cameras. But Furrion cameras are a lot more expensive and in my experience with other setups they don't work as well as Haloview systems. I already had a Haloview MC7801 camera and monitor system that I bought for my pontoon, so I just bought another camera (Haloview CA108) along with this adapter and hooked everything up. All screws are aligned, cables included. adapter, and it's really just plug and play. My only issue is that on my RV model, the Furrion's pre-connection was under the trailer running light, just above the pre-connection. Unfortunately, when a Haloview camera is mounted on this adapter and this adapter is inserted into the top of my RV, the antenna rests on the top center navigation light. This means I can't position the camera angle high enough to see distant traffic on the road. Instead, the camera should be tilted down a little more than I would like so I can only see the area directly behind my trailer. It works well for backups, which is why I bought the system in the first place, it's just not that good for monitoring traffic on my route. I don't blame the camera or the Furrion adapter mount, though; There are so many different camper configurations that no one can predict every possible setup. If that bothers me too much, I'd invest in a remote antenna that should give me enough headroom to tilt the camera a bit higher. But anyway, it's just a minor annoyance and I just put up with it. If this were Haloview's fault I would deduct a star, but it would be unfair to blame them for the manufacturer's decisions on my RV's lighting configuration. Get this adapter if you have a pre-wired Furrion system and want to use a Haloview system instead. It works. You will not regret it.
