The picture doesn't show it properly but what is in the picture is sealed (as in the other review but I ignored it :p). Smooth on both sides. There are a number of smaller versions on all three lenses. Could it be air bubbles, but air bubbles usually break the glass from the inside? The only thing I noticed when I received them was the smell, but without a thorough inspection I just threw the packaging away and put the glasses by the sink. . So I would have to buy consumables to return it to the seller (my fault), which I don't care about. The construction is not very strong. I have two 16-ounce Ball Mason Jars that I love and I'm no glass expert... but one is definitely better than the other.
