I recently purchased this unit and my husband installed it. His comments follow: Typical for products made in China, there were problems. As other reviewers have described, the cone covers may not fit properly and if you try to force them on they can be easily deformed as they are made of thin metal. Do yourself a favor and try them on first and make any necessary adjustments while the device is on the ground. Another more serious problem arose when I tried many times to screw a long mounting screw into the mounting plate/bracket before installing it into the junction box. Surprise! The thread on the mounting bracket did not allow for manual threading of the screw into the strap/bracket. It's unforgivable. I then had to touch up the mounting bracket threads with a 10X32 NF tap. I have not yet tested the device as described in the user manual, as I have decided to wait until it gets dark. If the device doesn't work and I can't get it to work, I'll post another review. Just remember to try to attach the lamp cover and mounting screw while the unit is on the floor. And do not try to force the mounting screw into the mounting strap/bracket as you risk twisting the threads on the strap/bracket and you will not be able to attach the device to the junction box.
