Conclusion: It works.

TL;DR: Working. Obtain. Full Story: I've baked eggs in their shell, shocked them with ice, vacuum cooked them, tried the blow method, bowl method, and half a dozen other tools. With the discovery of this tool, my search is over! Now, with the right background music, I can peel a dozen hard-boiled eggs in 5 minutes or less. Notice I said hard-boiled. Soft-boiled eggs can be peeled with this tool, but it will require a slight change in technique. The first step of chopping the perimeter can split and tear the softer white as you peel off the shell from under the membrane. Instead, for soft-boiled eggs only, I suggest opening the top where the air bubble is and using the tool there. You can flip the egg and separate one side, then the other, and you'll end up with a smooth, peeled, soft-boiled egg. Too bad I didn't try it before Christmas. I would give it to all my friends. Maybe this is a good gift for Easter?
