Definitely a bit pricey but the savings of having to pay someone to do the timing belt work was worth it to me. I'm sure you could probably easily come up with a contraption to do the same, or do the tried and true broken rod trick, but I didn't want to delve into either of those methods. This will be a tool that unless you're dealing with timing belts/water pumps all the time will just more or less pick up dust, but in my opinion it's worth it if you need it. Quality seems genuine, well made, easy to use.
