Review on π₯ Weller PTF7 Conical Tip 8 in Black by Puggzy Wallin
The tip just keeps soldering. Haven't changed in a few years.
Have been using the handpiece for several years now. Use a FRY's Electronics brass sponge to wipe the tip so it solders. The iron normally runs at 700-800 degrees but I use a rheostat to drop the temperature down to 500 degrees for fine surface mount work and leave the iron idle for long periods while other mounts take place.
