I wish I had found this item first before swapping out the two cheaper locking knobs for a key. Key handles are made of plastic and can break. Constructed of steel, this one handles the dust of Oklahoma's dirt roads without flinching. If you want to lock your tailgate without spending a lot of money, this lock is inexpensive, easy to install and DURABLE. FYI: After reading some other reviews, it only snaps on one side of the handle (driver's side). You may need to adjust the release links if it doesn't grip tight enough to prevent opening (this is also easy to do). Thanks for that!
