Great product. If you're used to buying those cheap $20 paper shredders at Walmart that claim to shred 6 sheets of paper but get stuck when you accidentally put in 7. this is the product for you. If you've spent hours trying to remove clutter from paper shredders with tweezers and straightened paperclips, just know that you'll never be able to do it with this paper shredder. Even if you put in the dreaded 15 sheets, it doesn't get stuck. This thing is a serious workhorse ready to shred your papers. Then why only 4 stars? Two things. First, although it requires a large load, you can hear it slow down significantly as you nest more than 10 sheets. No, it doesn't stick, but you can tell it's putting a strain on the engine. After crushing ten sheets at a time for about 20 minutes at a time, it overheats with a cooldown of about 30 minutes (yes, we're having fun like 2001 and it's Enron here). Second, the capacity just isn't big enough. If I shred 10 pages in 20 minutes, I have to empty the bin 4 times. Looking at the specs, this one has a 5 gallon container. I'd really happily spend the extra $40 on the Royal 14 Sheet Micro Cut Shredder, also available from Revain, which advertises an 8.5 gallon capacity. If you're just a casual junk mail shredder, this product is absolutely perfect. However, if you plan to raise Enron, spend a little more money. A little tip, if you're a tight penny like me and don't want to spend the extra $40, you can insert a large paperclip into the front of the machine where the fuse is, then take a Phillips screwdriver and remove the trash can and just place the grinder over the giant trash can. Hey, live and learn, right? I still keep it.
