Holy $#&! these bits work great! The 1 1/4" chisel went just under the 6" joist like it was nothing. I used to use paddle bits and drilling just one hole would ruin the bit. But be careful, this thing has a CRAZY BIG recoil when the drill gets stuck. First time trying to use it without the extra handle and almost breaking my wrist, it twisted my whole body to one side (no joke). DO NOT attempt to dig at full speed with this drill. Unlike a paddle attachment, where the faster the blade moves, the smoother it launches, with this one you should try to launch relatively slowly. A bit wacky, but pulling the drill back when inserting it actually caused it to pull harder across the joist (not sure how that trick works). Great drills for the job. However, use it with caution.
