I always heard a characteristic noise when shifting gears before replacement.

I always heard a characteristic noise when shifting gears before changing the timing belt. After replacing the belt and tensioner, the suspicious noise (which upon investigation turned out to be a faulty tensioner) was gone. I have Civic Post and everything is fine.
