Review on Hamilton Beach 22796 Settings Stainless by Matt Conner

Better than my previous toaster which toasted so unevenly that I always had to take out the 'finished' slice, flip it and put it back in to toast the undercooked side (if you follow that !) The only thing I don't care is that the default temperature control is apparently 4. Every time I toast a slice I have to set it to 5 (I like it a little darker). I would like it to default to 5 instead of manually setting it each time. Maybe the instructions will tell, but I'm one of those people who think I know everything intuitively and I'll get lost before reading the instructions! Turn me on when I need it! I wish the slots were just an inch longer to accommodate those large round loaves. Too lazy again to use a knife and cut those huge slices of the center of the loaf in half (actually I think it ruins the bread experience). Otherwise it's a good toaster, stainless steel looks good, easy to clean, large easy to use lever (doesn't get hot) to push the slices down, good price. I'm happy.😊
