This really fits the Dodge Neon 02 and your mechanic can easily replace it for you. This kit really fits the Dodge Neon 02. The only issue I had installing this kit, apart from the whole installation process, was that the aluminum frame of the timing belt tensioner (4 leg part) didn't fit snugly. . It was an exact shape in every way except for a hole in one of the "legs"; The original had a long piece of tubing that didn't fit through this hole and protruded about a quarter of an inch into the motor without which it wouldn't have attached properly. This "tube" was not included with this clamping frame and could not be replaced. The easy fix was to just use the new tensioner (circle after nut removal) with the old frame, it should fit perfectly as they match (apart from the ID marks) exactly except for the mentioned error. They shipped the kit quickly. , in a well packed carton. They even included a little "manual" for installation, but don't rely on 2 pieces of paper to enlighten you if you don't already know what you're doing and HAVE THE RIGHT TOOLS, leave it to the pros. unless you want a bent/damaged valve or a disassembled car in your garage. Bottom line the kit works if you have the original tensioner frame and that's ok for the price. Would recommend to anyone needing a timing belt change. However, you would be a little SOL if your original stretcher frame was cracked, bent or damaged (which is unlikely).
