This item is good. You need to make sure everything is properly connected before and during use. The extensions are thin so use caution when using them in an aquarium. The hoses need to be warmed up the first time they are immersed in hot water to make them a bit more flexible. It's awkward to use at first, but once you learn how to toggle the dial on your filter and primer, you'll be fine. Cleans like a champ. The best part for me is that you can remove the hose from the cleaning rod and use it to pump water from the storage tanks back into the reservoir. Clean well and allow to air dry and this item will last a long time. The collection bag must be thoroughly cleaned and dried. Watch your suckers. I had an open box order so I only had 1 of 4 suction cups and it was still hard to find a replacement. All in all, if you are using an FX canister filter then you probably have a large tank and this article will be of a HUGE help!
