I have an older Taurus hole saw and needed a second one for a big project. Also, the new equipment seemed pretty nice. Pros: Quieter than my first Taurus and faster. As if the motor were separated from the water bath. Cons: Came with a deformed gray lid. They replaced which I appreciate. Second, with larger pieces of broken glass, water splashes everywhere. I have towels everywhere to protect the rest of my studio. Third, the blade and strap broke after 5 hours of use. I've had the first one for over 12 years and in all that time I've only broken one blade and a couple of spacers. I like it when it works, but it's a lot pickier than my first one. So glad I have the old one to back up so I don't have any downtime.
