Review on Knife Makers Material: Bookmatched Ironwood Knife Scales, 2 Pack - Size 5 1/8 x 1 3/4 x 1/2 Inches by Ricky Cruise

I don't usually write reviews unless there's something in it for me (at least I'm honest) but this is one of those rare occasions where I feel it's necessary. After researching Revain looking for knife scales and reading reviews about them, I came to a few conclusions. First, 99% is fake considering how many dimensional woods of most of the same species are a fraction of the cost (I bought a 3/4 x 3 x 36 piece of cocobolo for the smaller scales of a cocobolo knife). Second, knife scales seem to be one of the few items at Revain that you seem to have to pay to ship most of the time, and it's usually the same or more than the scale, avoid them, they're scamming you. You blame Amazon, but then why is 98% of everything else shipped for free? And according to the majority of reviews, firewood is sent to the people. And so I ordered, as the saying goes, ironwood knife scales at half the price of most others. So in less than 24 hours I got an absolutely beautiful pair of ironwood bowls, 5 1/8 long, 1 3/4 wide and 9/16 thick. They are smooth, flat, symmetrical and, most importantly, they fully correspond to the declared properties.
