Review on πŸ”Œ Dorman 751-600 Front Driver Side Power Window Motor and Regulator Assembly for Ford / Lincoln Models - Efficient and Reliable Solution by Jeff Pettis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It took a little while to get started.

I installed the product to replace a stock power window that had a broken wire. I went to open the window and it only went down about an inch. He will run up again, but only descend to the same spot as before. In frustration, I yanked the regulator off the window and door to try and get it behind the door. It will still stop down about an inch. Even more frustrated, I checked for stickiness or something by pacing up and down. Suddenly, almost magically, he ran down the stairs. I don't know why it got stuck, but it works now. I know another review said the switch seems finicky and I had the same issue too. However, after flicking the window a few times, the switch seemed to straighten out. I turned off the engine, put the controller back in the door, and kept walking. It will work up and down this time, but the switch again proved finicky. After several cycles of auto-up, auto-shutdown, momentary startup, and momentary shutdown, the switch seemed to even out. I only left the regulator in the door for about 2 hours while writing this, so time may change my views, but for now. so good.

Pros
  • Works great for me
Cons
  • Bad experience
