Review on AmpliFi HD WiFi System: Whole Home Coverage, HD Router, 2 Mesh Points by Mohamad Yusri ᠌

I purchased the Airport Extreme 6th generation PCT instead (all growth Apple routers are cut in speed). Amplifi HD is a breath of fresh air. Apple is far behind when it comes to networking equipment for the home. The transfer speed is frantic, the bandwidth is on top, it pulls a stream (Plex Media Server) at 1080p (40-45GB movie) without brakes, instantly, while the Internet on other devices works without a hint of slowing down. Setting up through the Amplifi application is very convenient and fast, you can track who is connected to the network, how much traffic is spent and at what speed, set up guest mode by time (timer), with and without a password. There is a display that shows the time and day of the week, external IP, download speed, busy ports. Nice design, can be put in a prominent place (smaller than Airport Extreme). You can buy repeaters (mesh points) and build a network with seamless roaming, but to be honest, I don’t see the point, in a standard 1-2x, or maybe even 3-room apartment, it’s enough for the eyes. With operator type 700 Mbps, it gives out 530 Mbps at the input and 360 Mbps at the output, if measured nearby (wi-fi, 5 GHz, iphone 7 plus). In the back room, right in the corner about 300 Mbps (wi-fi, 5GHz, iphone 7 plus), in the room adjacent to the corridor 400-450 Mbps (wi-fi, 5GHz, iphone 7 plus), in the kitchen, which is hidden behind ventilation (metal) penetrates approximately 250 Mbps (wi-fi, 5GHz, iphone 7 plus). The network is distributed at 2.4 and 5GHz (seen as one network), the router automatically determines what is better and faster for this device and switches itself, you can make the network share and switch manually, but in my opinion it is inconvenient.
