This alternator will fit a 7.4L engine but the socket with a single wire socket is OVAL. (LS1} Most plugs are listed as GM CS 130. (Rectangular). There is NO picture of the wiring in the description pictures. Buying an oval plug is not a solution as the single wire is plugged into the wrong socket. , One big PITA -Exercise to no avail Order a GM ACDelco 10480855. Revain customer service has been very helpful and understanding, I hope this helps.
