Review on Pentek PENTEK 150072 Standard Filter Housing: A Reliable Solution for Optimal Filtration by Marcus Hargrave

I discovered this filter at a previous job and have installed this filter in 3 different homes. DO NOT remove the filter housing with the pressure release button (red button), IT WILL LEAK OUT. This is the voice of experience. One more caution - USE THE MOUNTING BRACKET FOR THE PROTECTED OBJECT. Torque must not be applied when tightening the body onto the pipe, ESPECIALLY FOR COPPER PIPE. This is the voice of experience. We had three of these filter housings in series. the first had a sediment filter cartridge, the second had a 10 micron cartridge. Between the second and third was a faucet, and this faucet fed industrial plants. The third filter housing had a carbon block cartridge and was intended for the break room/kitchen area for drinking/coffee water. The mud filter cartridge was replaced when the pressure on the industrial plant dropped and the system passed 3 to 5 of these filters for each 10 micron filter. The carbon block was replaced when the coffee taste changed or the water pressure in the kitchen dropped. If you follow the two recommendations at the top of this review, you will have a good experience with this filter housing.
