Review on ๐Ÿ”ง KBOISHA 1/2" Drive Master Impact Socket Set - 47-Piece Metric 8mm - 30mm Standard/Deep Socket Set with Universal Joint & Impact Extensions, 6 Point Cr-MO Steel Sockets: Achieve Versatile and Powerful Applications by Evan Burnside

Full range; all the metric sockets you will ever need.

Summary: Over the past 30 years of shooting Japanese sport bikes, I've owned quite a few metric sockets. This is a comprehensive set. Observations: Impact sockets are usually black phosphated and they are no different. Both are laser engraved and embossed along the face of the drive bush. The universal joint rotates well. Lots of extensions to choose from, saving you the hassle of "stacking" shorter extensions (not ideal). Recommendations: 1) The only reason you might not need black phosphate coating is that it is a little more prone to rusting than hard chrome. At the end of the day, if you work with very greasy clothing, hard chrome dissolves a little more easily than black phosphate. The matte black phosphating also scratches more easily; not through the finish at all, just easier to overwrite. 2) Comes with a piece of foam between the body halves; I would leave it there to give extra assurance that the sockets aren't moving what is being pushed around. 3) Another characteristic of power sockets is that they are hexagonal (drive faces) and not dodecagonal; I personally prefer 6 points over 12 because of the added strength. The 12 points give you more freedom of rotation when using a fixed drive (e.g. a brake rod) and in tight spaces. Pros: great fit and finish; Plastic case with metal latches and additional side plastic latches to prevent unexpected opening. Disadvantages: none. Conclusion: 5 stars for 125โ‚ฌ.
