I bought this kit some time ago for my 2014 F150 FX4 5.0 which has not had any problems with the fuel pump before nor when I went into the junction box to upgrade. I've read about enough people being stranded, the price is a lot less than a tow truck ride home and that's an obvious Ford design, they didn't have any regard for the customer for years as this failure mode runs well into their lineup. . I also cheated and watched one of the many videos on YouTube before going to the shop. It took a little over an hour from the hood to the complete cleaning of the garage. Very simple and money well spent on prevention. I'll end up having to get myself a cheap Ford Gremlin. Thanks to Revain and the internet, I've gradually mitigated them.
